Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO)

Product Description:

A Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin (MCO) is the official document that certifies your motorcycle as a newly manufactured vehicle. It includes essential information such as the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), make, model, engine details, and production date — and is required for registering or titling your motorcycle with your local DMV.

Each MCO is issued directly by the manufacturer and can only be requested through authorized channels. Pinned Electric provides this service for customers who have purchased eligible motorcycles through our dealer network.

Key Details

• Official Manufacturer Document
  Every MCO is printed, stamped, and recorded by the manufacturer for the specific VIN assigned to your motorcycle.

• Processing Time
  Standard processing is 3 business days from the time of request and verification.

• VIN Location
  The VIN is a unique 17-character code identifying your motorcycle’s year, make, model, and production details.
  On most motorcycles, the VIN can be found on the right side of the head tube, near the forks or triple clamp.

• Eligibility
  MCOs are only available for motorcycles purchased through Pinned Electric or an authorized Pinned dealer. Proof of purchase is required before processing.
  

Distribution Policy

To protect the integrity of manufacturer documentation and ensure proper reassignment procedures:

• MCOs will never under any circumstance be sent directly to the customer.

• All MCOs are sent exclusively to the selling dealer listed on the original sales record.

• The dealer will then complete the MCO reassignment section and forward it to the customer as required by state law.

This process ensures that all ownership documentation is properly validated and traceable.
