The Formula Pressure Sensing Banjo Bolt is an aftermarket upgrade for Formula hydraulic brake systems that are not equipped with a hydraulic pressure sensor from the factory. This upgrade replaces the standard banjo bolt with a pressure-sensing version, allowing compatible e-motos to restore or add brake sensor functionality. On many electric motorcycles, this signal is used to activate the brake light, engage regenerative braking (regen), and disable throttle input while the brakes are applied as an important safety feature.

Installation

After installation, inspect the brake system for leaks and verify proper operation of all brake-related electronic functions before riding.

Important Notes

• This product is an upgrade, not a standard replacement banjo bolt. It is intended for bikes whose controllers and wiring harnesses support a hydraulic brake pressure sensor.
• This part must be hard wired or soldered into your existing brake wires. 
• On many electric motorcycles, this sensor can:
  • Activate the brake light.
  • Trigger regenerative braking (regen).
  • Disable throttle input while the brakes are applied as a safety feature.
• If your motorcycle does not have the necessary wiring or controller support for a brake pressure sensor, these electronic functions will not operate.
• Always replace copper crush washers whenever the banjo bolt is removed to ensure a proper hydraulic seal.
• Opening the hydraulic brake system may require a complete brake bleed before the motorcycle is operated.
• After installation, verify brake function, brake light operation, regenerative braking (if equipped), and proper throttle operation before riding.
• Installation and brake bleeding should be performed by individuals familiar with hydraulic brake systems.
